Perfectly situated in the Inlay Lake, the latest boutique resort is open since July 2005 and is one of the finest resorts in this unique tourist destination. Custom built and designed with the unique flair of traditional native style architecture, the Inle Resort is distinguished by its signature dome, prominent on the Lake, a welcome beacon to its guests. Blessed with an excellent location, the Inle Resort has character and quality facilities topped with personalized service. As a long-term stakeholder, the Inle Resort is fully committed to responsible tourism for the ecological and cultural protection of the Lake environment.

Location

Set in the tranquil eastern bank near the entrance to the Inlay Lake, The Inle Resort is a 20 minutes interesting boat ride from the staging town of Nyaung Shwe. Conveniently located to the many sights and services on the Lake to make your vacation complete yet tucked in a quiet and serene corner, away from the bustle of the Lake centre, from its vantage location, our guests will have the unparalleled experience of enjoying the vistas of both sunrise and sunset.

Inlay Lake, the jewel of Shan State, is located about 30 km to the south of Taunggyi. Cradled by the majestic Shan mountain range and sheltered by clear blue skies above, the beautiful and picturesque Lake, rising 870 meters above sea level and stretching 22.4 km long and 10.2 km wide, is a perfect harmony of air, water and life in a unique eco-system. Inlay Lake, as a tourist destination, is unique in more ways than one: from one-leg rowers, floating villages, colourful floating markets to the natural hot springs. Visit the cottage industry of silk weaving at Innpaw-Khon village where you can buy silk pieces still woven painstakingly by hand looms. Make a point to time your visit during the annual festival of the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda in October when, with traditional pomp and pageantry, the boat races on the Lake by the unique Inlay one-leg rowers will sure to enthrall all visitors.

Rooms

Because our Inlay property is purpose-built, we take pride in providing exceptional service and memories to last a lifetime. All 12 duplex cottages are spacious at 40 sqm and have every comfort to ensure your stay at the Lake is relaxing and enjoyable. Blending with the wide-open spaces of the charming lake environment, the landscaping harmonies the vital natural elements for resort living on the lake.

For even more spacious accommodation, there are 18 lake-front Bungalows at 80 sqm. They are ideal for those wanting a really luxurious experience on the Lake and include all the touches you would expect from a deluxe boutique resort: exclusivity, intimacy and unobtrusive service.

Dining

The elegant and refined restaurant at the Inle Resort is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering an inspired range of dishes with many European influences and a selection of Myanmar and Shan favorites. If it is a table with a view you desire, outdoor dining on the verandah is available to feast on the panorama while you enjoy your meal.

Our magnificent hall is stunning at 1000 sqm and will suit those wanting to entertain guests for private dinner parties or cocktail receptions. It is also a great venue on the Lake for corporate incentive groups and company retreats.

A cozy bar completes our food and beverage ensemble, providing a relaxing and informal atmosphere throughout the day so guests can have a tête-à-tête or simply relax over a drink.

Health and Leisure

What’s a resort without a spa? A purpose-built spa retreat is being finalized (opening November 2005) to enhance our guests experience at the resort - truly balancing the body, mind and spirit.
